Silhouette

Sometimes you have to realise that you will never be right
In their eyes, however hard you try
They think you are wasting your life
One day at a time

I feel I will always be a disappointment
I will be the invisible sibling standing by your side
A shadow of my younger self
But, the sad reality is that she left a long time ago
You are now left with the replacement and that is me

I hope one day you will see that I am as good as she use to be
But, for now, I am a ghost to you
Who you continue to walk through your life
Yet, I content with that …

You cannot subtract me away, so for tonight I will fight
Even if you cannot see the light in me
I will continue shine
Maybe, one day you will see my silhouette in front of you, that you do not walk through
