It is harder to let go than to hold on to the things you know
It hard to watch you go
I feel so alone
I wish I could take you home
To protect and support you

But, I know the reasons you have to go away and I know I won’t see you every day
I want you to know that I will miss your company around the house
It will be quiet and the dog doesn’t talk back but I suppose he is a good listen
All I will hear our the whispers of the wind and the clattering of the bins

I will try not to worry or panic at night if you are alright
I hope you sleep tight and remember I am here at the end of the phone day or night
Deep down I know that you will be alright
I know you will be looked after and that life won’t turn out to be a disaster
Then, we will move to greener pastures, hereafter
