Behind

My shoes bruise my broken feet
I wish someone would offer me a seat
Instead, they beat me too it
I feel as though I am the person most despised
Behind these tired eyes, leaving me empty inside

Isolated
Lonely on a busy platform of life
Watching the world go by
Nobody takes the time to talk
They just walk on

To them, I am invisible as an empty seat
Where they used to meet
For now, I am incomplete

One day, I hope to walk down Wall Street
Dodging the sleet and finally be at peace
