Walk On

The distance has become my friend
The miles have become my enemy
My feet are broken and bruised
It all happen so soon

I am through the mountains
I am walking towards clearer skies
Away from the rain
Away from the pain

But you stay in my mind
Every time I try to rewind those moments
I walk faster
My heart beat increases
My anxiety powers my body

I begin to run through the forest
Dodging the trees and fallen leaves
You just won’t let me be
You are still haunting me
One day I will be free

Even if I have to walk to the other side of the world
To recovery from the broken trust and lost love
I will overcome this ghost
One day I can come home
