Foxglove

I am beating myself black and blue
For you
I did nothing wrong
But your heart song has echoed through the trees and know nobody wants a thing to do with me
I don’t know if I can come through this

The lies and myths
You can need heal this rift
So we drift away

I list my mistakes
But you just sit marking time
Angry
Cross
Blaming everyone else, instead of reflecting on yourself
You have told so many lies and everyone is on your side
I guide my tired mind to the other side

Where your words evaporate into thin air
Where your hatred turns into love
And the doves fly above
You can’t shove and get rid of a foxglove
