What Hurts The Most

What hurts the most
Is that we became so close
But you chose to bulldoze the elbows which have held you close
Back we go into the shadows
Where the words are composed and thoughts disclosed
So you throw it down our throats
You have become engrossed in your own world
We are morose, I suppose some people go into different boats
I just hope you don’t lose hope

Please leave a note and wear a raincoat
You use your voice to anecdote the quote that you wrote
But do not quote our version of events or project an image that we are unsought
We have fought for you
We others would have thrown you out and left you to struggle like a trout
but you cause the whip out

I hope one day you float into clear water and cool seas
That life treats you with a good heart
Don’t let the river tear us apart
Don’t depart and go back to the start with a bitter heart
