Black Smoke

Black smoke surrounds my body
My soul causing a cascading cloud of poisons gas
Floating effortlessly into my wind pipe so tight that I might stop breathing
But I fight with the lack of oxygen which is wrestling around my body

I am sorry that I couldn’t win
I am sorry that my life was cut short within
My soul was taken away and hidden inside the bay until I could remain but we honestly never knees how cruel could be
We should have lived by the sea
Away for the polluting smoke that surrounds me
Suppressing my lungs to fill completely efficiently

Despair leaves me there
In a blanket of darkness
A world of fear
But one day my dear you will see clear
