Cup Of Tea

Time after time
You always leave me behind
By the waste side
I wish the tie dye could wash me from the inside
To remind me that I once had colour from within
But the fabric has worn thin
I feel such a sin

My skin tells of life before the fall
I was small and full of colour which filled my life
Yet, the storm came and took it all
Drained the colour, the joy out of my soul
I lived through it all,
This is what I remind myself
Through the dark night and lonely hours, I slowly regain my power

My life doesn’t feel so sour
So I pour myself a cup of tea and I break free
