Night Owl

I suppose I have always been one
A soul that gracefully flies through the night sky
The moon creates a silhouette of empty memories
As my wings move with the cold night breeze
I try to see through the trees and the falling leaves
To find my way back to my shadow and become a night owl

A peaceful soul that becomes alive when the sunsets and dust returns
Everyday at the same time
I can breathe
A sigh of relief
I do not carry any grief
I feel whole as a gold leaf and I feel at peace
