Can You Hear Me?

Can you hear me?
Speaking into the silence
Which leaves me blinded
By the closed doors and empty spaces
Between my tired eyes that are trying to reailgn
Instead, I am left frighten of the unknown
I want to go home

As I my mind rattles
Pushing the past away
I continue to stay in these four walls which are soundproofed from the floor to ceiling

I live in a wall of silence
Where there is no light shining through the windows
Just darkness
But, with my last ounce of energy, I break down the room which has held me prison, for all of these years

I allow the light to shine to every corner of darkness, this lifts my heart
In turn making colour return into my life
That once would have said, goodbye
But, not this time
