When We Were Young

When we were young

The time used to fly by like birds in the sky

We would spend days running through the summer haze

As life became a maze

An adventure with every step

Our ideas grew with every breath

The sky’s above had no limit

No boundaries

Allowing us to dream as far as our imagination would take us

To believe in the impossible

The world seemed as it was unstoppable

A place of colour, joy and innocence

Where there was no fear in our little lion hearts

Just courage and a head full of dreams

Or so it seemed…
